UV-C keeps evaporator coils and drain pans free of biofilm, restoring heat-transfer efficiency and reducing static pressure, and disinfects the airstream as it passes through the air handler. V-MOD® is the modular coil-cleaning fixture for a range of air handler sizes. V-MAX™ is typically installed in-duct. V-MAX™ Grid mounts into vertical telescoping struts for air handling unit installations, creating a full wall of UV-C.

UVDI rates its UV-C lamps for 9,000 hours — roughly one year of continuous service — so most facilities replace lamps annually. All V-MAX™ and V-MAX™ Grid lamps are T5/HO/4PSE (High Output, 4-Pin Single Ended) and interchange between the two systems. Encapsulated lamps carry an FEP polymer sleeve that contains the glass if a lamp breaks, and are recommended by UVDI wherever glass containment is required.
