FHP/Bosch Model Family Guide: Which Series Do You Have?
FHP and Bosch have sold water-source and geothermal heat pumps under dozens of two- and three-letter series names since the 1990s — AP, BP, CA, EM, ES, SM, TW, and many more. If you're staring at a data plate trying to figure out what you actually have, the series prefix on the model number is the fastest way in. This guide sorts every FHP/Bosch series by era and status so you can place your unit and know what to expect from it — parts availability, refrigerant, warranty terms.

Currently in production
As of this writing, four series are still active — all switched from R-410A to the lower-GWP refrigerant R-454B on 1/1/2025, with the model names unchanged through the changeover:

Legacy R-22 lines (1990s–2000s)
If your unit's series appears here, it predates the 2010 EPA phase-down of R-22 production and is almost certainly running original refrigerant charge from installation. These are the oldest units we still support with parts.

EnviroZone is a zoning control system, not a heat pump — if that's what's on your paperwork, you're looking at a controls product, not a unit series.
